Every year, the Friends of Melrose METCO (FOMM) awards a scholarship to a Melrose High School senior in the METCO program who has been a role model for promoting good relationships among all students.
This year, our hope is to raise $10,000 — the minimum required to establish a Permanent Scholarship, to ensure that we can award the scholarship every year, without the need for ongoing fundraising.
With your donation, we can help METCO Students from Melrose High pursue their college dreams for years to come. Thanks so much for your support.

What is METCO?
The Metropolitan Council for Educational Opportunity (METCO) is a Massachusetts program designed to expand educational opportunities, increase diversity, and reduce racial isolation by permitting students from Boston to attend public schools in other communities that have agreed to participate.
Dozens of students from Boston attend Melrose public schools. They and their families are an integral part of our community, and our mission at Friends of Melrose METCO is to support them in any way we can.
